SYCAMORE

Acer Pseudoplatanus

Sycamore is a beautifully delicate timber with a pale white golden lustre. The most prized timber with furniture makers is fiddle back sycamore, where by a quirk of nature a ripple forms in the tree , which when polished produces an iridescent pattern, which in extreme circumstances looks 3 dimensional .

As with our Ash  all Whitney Sawmills sycamore is sourced from British woodlands.
